   Our
Cornish Rock Crosses are raised outdoors on rich green pasture
in movable pens out in the sunshine and fresh air. These pens
are moved daily to fresh pasture from which the birds can glean
bugs, worms, grasses and other plants to supplement their
fortified, fresh ground grain diet. This fresh natural diet
makes our chickens very nutritious:

Parable Farm
chickens have a wonderful flavor in addition to a nice firm
texture because they are able to move around freely, rather than
being confined in small cages. They are wonderful for
barbequing, roasting, baking... or any other way you want to
cook them.
Our chickens are fed no antibiotics or hormones during their
life and the grain they eat contains no animal by-products. When
butchered they are treated humanely and their carcasses receive
no chlorine baths.
They may be picked up fresh on the 5th day after butchering or may be
purchased frozen later. Orders for finished birds are taken
before the peeps are ordered. Check our order sheet for dates of
